The exact content, schedule, and activities may vary according to the participant, weather, property conditions, professional judgment, safety considerations, and other circumstances.

Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, no particular activity, practitioner, amenity, result, or daily schedule is guaranteed.

3. Not Medical or Clinical Treatment

The retreat is not a hospital, medical clinic, psychiatric facility, addiction-treatment center, detoxification facility, rehabilitation center, nursing facility, or emergency service.

Fred Busch does not represent himself through this website as a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, registered dietitian, or other licensed medical provider.

Information, education, conversations, movement instruction, meals, and lifestyle practices offered through the website or retreat are not substitutes for diagnosis, treatment, medication management, psychotherapy, emergency care, or advice from an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.

Submitting an application, receiving a response, participating in a consultation, or attending the retreat does not create a physician-patient, psychologist-client, or other licensed healthcare relationship.

4. Emergencies and Acute Conditions

This website and retreat must not be used for emergencies or situations requiring immediate medical, psychiatric, or crisis intervention.

Anyone experiencing an emergency should contact local emergency services or an appropriate licensed professional immediately.

The retreat may decline or discontinue participation when a person’s condition, conduct, or needs appear to exceed the retreat’s nonclinical scope or available level of support.

5. Eligibility

The website and retreat application are intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement.

Applying does not guarantee acceptance. Participation is selective and may depend on factors including:

The applicant’s goals and expectations

Physical and psychological suitability

Current health conditions and medications

Mobility and ability to participate safely

Substance use or dependency concerns

Dietary needs and allergies

The retreat’s nonclinical scope

Availability and operational considerations

The applicant’s willingness to follow retreat rules and safety requirements

We may accept or decline an application at our discretion, subject to applicable law. We are not required to provide a detailed explanation for an acceptance or non-acceptance decision.

6. Accuracy and Disclosure by Applicants

Applicants must provide information that is complete, truthful, and accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Applicants must disclose information reasonably relevant to safety and suitability, including significant health conditions, medications, physical limitations, allergies, psychological conditions, substance use, recent medical procedures, and other circumstances requested during screening.

Withholding or materially misrepresenting relevant information may result in:

Rejection of an application

Cancellation or postponement of participation

Modification of planned activities

Early termination of a retreat

A requirement to obtain medical evaluation or clearance

Applicants remain responsible for informing us if important information changes before arrival.

7. Medical Clearance and Medications

We may request medical clearance or additional information from an applicant’s licensed healthcare provider before confirming or continuing participation.

Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate medical advice concerning travel, physical activity, diet, sauna, cold exposure, medication, and any other practice that may affect their health.

Participants must not begin, stop, reduce, increase, or otherwise change prescription medication based solely on website content, retreat education, or nonmedical guidance. Medication decisions must be made with an appropriately qualified prescribing professional.

Participants are responsible for bringing and managing their own medications unless a separate lawful arrangement has been expressly confirmed in writing.

8. Application and Consultation Process

The application process is intended to determine whether further discussion is appropriate. It is not a medical evaluation and does not establish acceptance, reservation, or entitlement to participate.

A consultation may be offered after the application has been reviewed. A consultation is exploratory and informational. It does not guarantee acceptance or reserve dates unless expressly confirmed in writing.

A retreat is considered booked only when:

The applicant has been formally accepted;

The applicable participant agreement has been completed;

Any required deposit or payment has been received; and

The booking has been confirmed in writing.

9. Separate Participant Agreement

These Terms govern the website, application process, general communications, and services described online.

Accepted participants may also be required to sign a separate participant agreement, acknowledgment of risk, informed-consent document, property rules, payment agreement, cancellation policy, and other program-specific documents before arrival.

If a separate signed agreement conflicts with these website Terms concerning the retreat booking, payment, cancellation, participation, or program-specific obligations, the separate signed agreement controls to the extent of that conflict.

10. Fees, Deposits, and Payment

Fees, deposits, payment schedules, included services, and any additional charges will be communicated before a booking is finalized.

Published or quoted prices may change until a reservation has been confirmed in writing. A submitted application or consultation request does not secure a price or date.

The participant is responsible for:

Retreat fees and applicable taxes

Transportation to and from Colombia and the retreat

Passports, visas, travel authorizations, and travel insurance

Medical expenses and medications

Personal purchases and services not expressly included

Costs caused by delayed arrival, early departure, itinerary changes, or personal emergencies

Payment-processing providers may impose their own terms and security procedures.

11. Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds

The cancellation, rescheduling, transfer, credit, and refund conditions applicable to an accepted retreat will be stated in the written booking or participant agreement.

Participants should not purchase flights or make nonrefundable travel arrangements until their booking and dates have been confirmed in writing.

We may modify, postpone, or cancel a retreat when reasonably necessary because of:

Safety or health concerns

Severe weather or natural events

Property or utility problems

Government restrictions

Transportation disruptions

Illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond reasonable control

Materially inaccurate information provided by a participant

Conduct that threatens safety, privacy, property, or the retreat environment

Any refund or credit will be determined by the applicable written booking agreement and mandatory law. Nothing in these Terms eliminates consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

12. Travel Requirements

Participants are responsible for determining and satisfying all requirements for travel to and within Colombia, including:

A valid passport

Visa or entry requirements

Immigration and customs requirements

Vaccination or health requirements

Travel and medical insurance

Transportation arrangements

Any recommendations or warnings issued by relevant authorities

We do not guarantee entry into Colombia, transportation availability, travel conditions, or the accuracy of third-party travel information.

13. Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering, as appropriate:

Trip cancellation or interruption

Travel delay

Emergency medical treatment

Medical evacuation

Lost or damaged property

Personal liability

Activities planned during the retreat

The retreat is not responsible for losses that could have been covered by appropriate insurance, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

14. Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to behave respectfully and follow reasonable instructions concerning safety, privacy, property, animals, activities, and the residential environment.

Prohibited conduct includes:

Violence, threats, intimidation, harassment, or abusive behavior

Illegal activity

Possession of unlawful drugs or weapons

Deliberate damage to property

Unauthorized visitors

Unauthorized photography, recording, or disclosure of private information

Conduct that creates an unreasonable safety risk

Repeated refusal to follow essential property or safety rules

Material disruption of the retreat environment

Participation may be terminated when conduct makes continuation unsafe, unlawful, seriously disruptive, or incompatible with the private nature of the retreat. The financial consequences of early termination will be governed by the participant agreement and applicable law.

15. Alcohol, Drugs, and Substance-Related Needs

The retreat is not a medical detoxification or addiction-treatment service.

An applicant must disclose current substance use, dependency concerns, withdrawal risks, or recent changes in use when requested during screening. Individuals who may require medically supervised withdrawal or clinical addiction treatment may be referred to an appropriate licensed facility or professional and may not be suitable for this retreat.

Participants must follow the substance-related rules stated in their participant agreement and property rules.

16. Physical Activities and Assumption of Ordinary Risks

Movement, yoga, walking, hiking, sauna use, cold-water exposure, interaction with nature or animals, transportation, and other activities involve inherent and ordinary risks.

Participants are responsible for:

Disclosing relevant limitations

Following safety instructions

Using reasonable judgment

Declining an activity that feels inappropriate

Requesting clarification or modification when needed

Obtaining professional medical advice before participating when appropriate

No participant is required to perform a particular physical practice merely because it appears on a sample schedule or is suggested during the retreat.

To the extent permitted by law, participants accept the ordinary and inherent risks of activities they voluntarily undertake. This provision does not excuse fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

17. No Guarantee of Results

Health, recovery, energy, sleep, mobility, mood, weight, habits, and other outcomes differ substantially between individuals.

Testimonials, case examples, educational statements, and descriptions of previous experiences illustrate individual experiences only. They do not promise or guarantee that another person will obtain the same or similar result.

Results may depend on many factors outside our control, including health history, adherence, environment, medical care, personal decisions, and circumstances after leaving the retreat.

Private application and health information will be handled according to the Privacy Policy.

We will not publicly use your testimonial, identifiable story, photograph, recording, or likeness for marketing without separate permission.

Unsolicited business concepts or general suggestions do not create a confidential, fiduciary, employment, partnership, or compensation relationship.

22. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and should be available through a clearly labeled link on the website.

Because applications may include sensitive personal information, applicants should review the Privacy Policy before submitting an application.

23. SMS and Text Messaging Terms

If you separately consent to receive text messages from us, those messages may concern applications, appointments, consultations, retreat arrangements, reminders, and related communications.

Consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing or receiving a service.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message. After opting out, you may receive one final message confirming the request. To request assistance, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected]

24. Email Communications

When you submit an inquiry or application, we may send communications necessary to respond, conduct screening, schedule a consultation, or administer an accepted retreat.

Where required, promotional emails will include an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing from promotional material does not prevent essential administrative communications about an active inquiry, application, appointment, payment, or booking.

25. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may use or link to third-party services, including form providers, scheduling systems, payment processors, video platforms, communications services, maps, social-media platforms, or other websites.

A person’s failure to disclose relevant information or follow professional advice

Decisions made independently by a website visitor or participant

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by legally actionable negligence, or any duty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

27. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for reasonable losses, claims, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the website, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, deliberate misconduct, or materially false information submitted by you.

This provision does not require you to indemnify us for our own unlawful conduct, negligence, or breach of a nonwaivable legal duty.

28. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict, or replace any mandatory consumer protection, privacy, or other statutory rights applicable to you.

Where a provision conflicts with a right that cannot legally be waived, the mandatory legal protection controls and the remaining Terms continue in effect.

29. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without excluding any mandatory legal protections that may apply to a consumer in another jurisdiction.

Before beginning formal proceedings, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve a dispute through written communication.

Subject to mandatory consumer rights and rules concerning jurisdiction, disputes relating to these Terms or services provided in Colombia will be submitted to the competent authorities or courts of Antioquia, Colombia.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent protective relief or exercising a nonwaivable right before an appropriate consumer, privacy, regulatory, or judicial authority.

30. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms when the website, services, business practices, or legal requirements change.

The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Changes apply prospectively from the date published unless another date is stated or applicable law requires otherwise.

Separate signed agreements already in effect remain governed by their own amendment provisions.

31. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited as closely as legally possible to its intended purpose. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

32. No Waiver

A delay or failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

33. Entire Agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable written booking or participant agreement constitute the relevant agreement between you and us concerning their respective subject matter.

No statement on social media, in general marketing material, or in an informal conversation modifies a confirmed booking agreement unless the modification is accepted in writing by the appropriate parties.
