To be a yoga teacher can be difficult sometimes, but there are no reasons for a yoga class to be boring.
It’s impossible to step in the same river twice. It’s impossible to do the same yoga pose twice because you are producing one million cells per second, so you’re creating every person, every moment. If you are a yoga teacher, keep reading because in this article I will give you some tips to be not only a good but the best yoga teacher.
Attitude is everything
It is the instructor´s attitude what will determine whether a class is boring or not. It will be boring if you believe it is and it will never be boring if you believe that it’s impossible to teach the same stuff twice. The only way it would be boring is if you’re not teaching yoga and you’re repeating yourself.
It’s yoga, not a workout
Don’t turn your class into a gym training. Even gymnasts, they don’t come to work out like in the gym but to open their bodies and to relax more. A workout may leave you exhausted, but yoga is about being light and rested.
Pay attention to sequences
There’s always another variation, and you can always go into other things. In this style of yoga, for example, we have endless variations to entertain people. The instructor has to find a way to engage with the students. A way to engage more with the students is by practicing harder poses and sequences for example. But remember that certain postures are not helpful for some people, so be careful!
I teach the same class all the time, and I never do it boring by myself. That’s why I’ll never stop teaching this style of yoga because this training is designed to be unlimited.
So remember, it will never be boring if you believe that it is impossible to teach the same thing twice. Don’t ever forget that.
